What information will be collected by Supportedge when I visit their site?

Every computer connected to the Internet is given a domain name and a set of numbers that serve as that computer’s “Internet Protocol Address” (IP address).
When a visitor requests a page from within the Supportedge web site, our web servers automatically recognise that visitor’s domain name and IP address. The domain name and IP address reveal nothing personal about you other than the IP address from which you have accessed my site. We use this information to examine our traffic in aggregate, and to investigate misuse of the Supportedge web site, its users, or to cooperate with law enforcement.

We do not collect and evaluate this information for specific individuals. Our web servers do not automatically record e-mail addresses of the visitors.
We may also request your e-mail address or mailing address for the purposes of conducting surveys or providing additional services (for example, subscriptions to e-mail newsletters and quotes).

Whenever we request the identity of a visitor, we will clearly indicate the purpose of the inquiry before the information is requested. How will Supportedge use my information?

What is a Cookie?

From time to time, the Supportedge web site may send a “cookie” to your computer. A cookie is a small piece of data that is sent to your internet browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. A cookie can’t read data off of your computer hard disk or read cookie files created by other web sites.

Cookies do not damage your system. You can choose whether to accept cookies by changing the settings of your internet browser. How can I modify or delete personal information from my browser?

To delete cookies you will need to clear your cache. Cookies are maintained by your web browser, so the method for deleting them will vary depending on which browser you are using. The method for how to clear cookies is listed below.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0 – 10.0
Select the ‘Tools->Internet Options’ menu item, under browsing options click ‘Delete’.

Firefox 7.0 and newer
Select the ‘Tools->Options’ menu item (may be under the Firefox button) and click on the ‘Privacy’ tab. Click ‘clear you recent history’, then click clear now.

Can I opt-out of future communications?
To opt out of emails please notify us that you would like to be removed from our email list by sending an email to us.

What else should I know about my privacy when online?

Please check with third party web sites to determine their privacy policy. Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online – for example through e-mail, discussion lists, or elsewhere – that information can be collected and used by others.

In short, if you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.
